Disability Aids Recycling Project
Responding to concerns voiced by disabled people that they now have no way of passing on unwanted disability aids even though they still be in excellent condition DaCE has started a disability aids recycling project. Cumbria County Council supported this project which collects and refurbishes disability aids for sale at low-cost.
Phil Walters (below) and Becky Murray co-ordinate this project. Refurbished items for sale include walking aids, bath lifts, shopping aids and perching stools, among many others, all at prices considerably lower than when bought new.
